Project Overview:
Spearheaded the marketing efforts for the UConn 2024 Virtual Horse Sale. This project seamlessly integrated expertise from two independent studies: Equine Sales & Marketing and Development of Equine Social Media Strategy. Through meticulous planning and execution, a comprehensive media suite was crafted to showcase the horses and promote the sale.
Key Elements:
- Graphic Creation: Promotional material were needed and created for the mass marketing of the sale. This included designing eye-catching graphics for social media platforms, as well as producing visually appealing flyers and posters to promote the event. Graphics were made with Canva & Adobe Illustrator.
- Photography: Worked closely with barn manager, Lisa Streff to capture conformation shots to showcase the horses' physical attributes, action shots to highlight their movement and athleticism, and portrait shots to convey their personalities. Photos were edited using Adobe Lightroom & Adobe Photoshop.
- Videography: Aided in the direction and filming of content to produce introductory videos of each sale horse. Video templates were crafted to aid in input of media by other users. Videos were published on Youtube and social media.
- Social Media Management: A comprehensive content calendar was created to strategize and plan the release of posts and information to the public. Posts were intentional and directed at intended audience. Engaged professionally with users on online platforms to answer questions and direct inquires.
- Communication with Clients: Worked side by side with other sales students to promote and display sales horse to potential buyers during viewing appointments. Effectively answers client's questions and showed horses in positive light.
- Hands-on Training on Individual Sale Horse: Trained upcoming 3 year old Morgan Colt to prepare him for sale. Analyzed progression of horse's training and crafted training program to match goals of class and the professor.
